Sembcorp has powered sustainability for more than two decades on Jurong Island, Singapore’s energy and chemicals hub.
The strong track record of our centralised utilities solutions proves the efficacy of our integrated approach. It also demonstrates Sembcorp’s commitment to enabling a circular economy as a leading sustainability solutions provider.
For instance, our operations on Jurong Island contribute to about 415,000 metric tonnes of carbon emissions abatement annually — equivalent to taking more than 90,000 cars off the road for a year. We also recover energy from over 280,000 tonnes of waste annually, supporting national efforts to reduce waste to landfill.
